Professor Marissa GreenbergJoin ABC Library in celebrating the exhibition of Shakespeare’s First Folio at the New Mexico Museum of Art with a presentation by UNM Professor Marissa Greenberg. Professor Greenberg will discuss the staging of Shakespeare’s plays in the Globe Theatre and the urban environment in which the plays were born.

Marissa Greenberg teaches courses in Renaissance English literature and culture and is author of Metropolitan Tragedy: Genre, Justice, and the City in Early Modern England (University of Toronto Press, 2015). Winner of several prestigious competitive grants, including a Faculty Research Award from the National Endowment for the Humanities, Dr. Greenberg is currently at work on a project focusing on the history and meaning of Shakespeare in New Mexico.
