San Pedro Library opened on June 6, 1967, twenty three years after D-Day and one day after the Reies Lopez Tijerina raid on the Rio Arriba County Courthouse. Special Collections librarian Eileen O’Connell reviews 50 years of service amid changing times, changing technologies and demographic shifts in this dynamic corner of southeast Albuquerque.
