Gaelic Golondrinas
Event box
This group brings together a range of instruments, including guitar, penny whistle, concertina, fiddle, keyboard and silver flute. As the name Gaelic implies, this group plays predominantly Irish, Scottish, and English Contra-dance tunes ranging from reels, to jigs, to hornpipes and waltzes. Since this group is from New Mexico, the second part of their name, Golondrinas - the Spanish word for swallows, was selected to highlight the groups pride in its southwestern roots. This program is funded by the Friends for the Public Library.
