LEAP into ScienceJoin us for a fun and free LEAP into Science Workshop: Measure Up!

If you wanted to know how far you could jump, you might jump from one place to another and then measure the distance with a ruler or tape measure. BUT what did people use before tape measures? How did they measure distances, lengths, or widths?

We invite children to learn at the library by exploring non-standard measurement as a way of learning how and why people developed standards for measuring things. This workshop is ideal for ages 6 - 9.

This event will be held in the South Broadway Library youth section. The first session will begin promptly at 3 p.m. The second session will be at 4 p.m. Please call (505)764-1742 for details.NSFIMLS
