This presentation will introduce a selection of native medicinal plants from our local area. Discussions will include identification in wild habitats, cultivation, harvesting, and healing applications. There will be time for questions and discussion.

Dara Saville is the director of the Albuquerque Herbalism bioregional herbal studies program and director of the Yerba Mansa Project, a community land stewardship and educational nonprofit organization. She is also the author of the UNM Press book The Ecology of Herbal Medicine and a board member of the Native Plant Society.
