An aging lawman and an aging outlaw join forces when their respective positions in society are usurped by a younger, but incompetent Marshal, and a younger, but vicious gang leader. Filming locations for this movie incude the Cumbres and Toltec Railroad. According to film historian Jeff Berg, the world premiere was a benefit for the Carrie Tingley Hospital for Crippled Children in Truth or Consequences. The premiere was held at the Lensic in Santa Fe and repeated at the Sunshine Theater in Albuquerque the next day. An after party was held at the governor’s mansion – then-governor David Cargo had just formed the New Mexico Film Office (then called the NM Motion Pictures Industries Committee).

The Good Guys and the Bad Guys has a runtime of 1 hour and 30 minutes and is rated PG.

Please be advised that attendance at all movies is at the viewer’s discretion, and some material may be unsuitable for some individuals. Individual responsibility is recommended for attendance. For full description on rating advice please refer to the Motion Pictures Association of America. Views expressed in the film are not those of the City of Albuquerque nor the Public Library Albuquerque and Bernalillo County.
