Using the Dos Gatos Press anthology Unknotting the Line: The Poetry in Prose, poet and editor Scott Wiggerman will present several ways to approach writing a prose poem--including flash fiction, flash nonfiction, haibun, tanka prose, and cheribun. This workshop will also present several specific poetic techniques that can elevate prose to a more poetic level (whether a prose poem or not). Handouts will include several prose poems and a list of poetic techniques to add to a writer’s toolbox. Unknotting the Line will be available for purchase at the discounted rate of $15, cash or check. Registration required.
