Science, the final challenge. Join Hermann Kahle, UNM Experimental Physicist and Laser Scientist, for the final event in the Star Trek Lecture Series, to explore strange, new Star Trek technologies, to seek out new materials and new methodologies, to boldly go, where no scientist has gone before. Since its beginning in the late 1960s, all Star Trek series have shown us technologies and devices capable of things no one could have imagined. But now, some of this science fiction has transformed into science fact. Dive into the science behind tablets, skin regenerators, storage disks, tractor beams, and much more, as we take a closer look at how science is manifesting Trek technologies.  Registration required.
