Edmund G. Ross was a journalist, abolitionist, and loyal Republican.  He was also the most hated man in America in 1868.  His reputation was rehabilitated in John F Kennedy’s book, Profiles in Courage. The program will explore Ross’ decision to vote against Andrew Johnson’s impeachment in 1868.
