Join the National Museum of Nuclear Science & History as we exhibit nuclear fusion propulsion systems as used in Star Trek Impulse engines. While these propulsion systems are theoretical developments in nuclear science, the US government once built nuclear engines! The museum is excited to share two behind-the-scenes artifacts: 3-foot long models of the Tory II nuclear ramjet engines built in the 1960s. Imagine the future of nuclear science as we perform fun experiments for all ages demonstrating nuclear propulsion. Registration required.
