It's Election Year in the Juan Tabo Children's Room!
Bessie Beauveen of the Fresh Air Party and Fuzzbunny of the Pageturner Party are running for president of the Juan Tabo Children's Room. In this passive program at the children's room display table, you can learn about how elections work--without running into the big feelings that can happen with real world elections.
In the second half of September, learn about the branches of government, and what "down-ticket" means. Who is running governor of the play area, and who wants to be Congressional representative of the Commonwealth of Chapter Books? How do all of these positions interact? What are checks and balances?
