In-Person

This lecture-workshop will include a brief lecture on the beginnings of letterpress printing in Europe in the second half of the fifteenth century.  It will also feature close examination of books in the Special Collections branch printed between 1550 and 1800, and hands-on exercises that will allow participants to study the typology and design of these books.  This event is designed as a complement to the letterpress printing workshops now being offered in the Center for the Book, Special Collections Branch, Albuquerque Public Library.
