Photo of silver alarm clock and leather wristwatches.Timekeeping has played a crucial role in human history, influencing various aspects of life from farming and religious rituals, navigation, GPS, and scientific research. The devices used for timekeeping have evolved significantly, from sundials, candles, water clocks, hourglasses, observation of celestial objects, mechanical clocks, quartz movements, GPS, and ultra-precise atomic clocks.

Explore the fascinating history of clocks and watches from members of the New Mexico Zia Sundials, the New Mexico Chapter of the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors (NAWCC). They will examine the makers, production methods, railroad-grade watches, and everyday carry and super luxury brands. Q & A to follow.

Check out the club’s special exhibit in the Cherry Hills display case during the month of November.
