Route 66 Centennial Speaker Series: The Civil War on Route 66

Event box

In-Person

On top a tan map of war plans and on bottom a scene of war with men and cannons. Across the middle is the phrase "The Civil War on Route 66". The Battle of Glorieta, often called the Gettysburg of the West, might have changed the outcome of the whole war, but it is only one of three Civil War battles that occurred along Route 66. Join Educator and Author Jennifer Bohnhoff as she provides pictures, maps, and stories about the Battles of Glorieta, Albuquerque, and Peralta. Presented by Jennifer Bohnhoff.

This is part of a rotating series of speakers that will offer presentations at these locations in 2026: Raymond Sanchez Community Center; Martha Liebert Public Library; Gutierrez-Hubbell House; International District Library; Isleta Pueblo Cultural Center;  Los Lunas Multigenerational Center; Special Collections Library, East Mountain Library, Central and Unser Library, and the Wheels Museum. Find out more information here.
