Have you always wanted to know how to become a professional artist? How about learn how to get into the comic book world? Or maybe you just want to meet the creators of so some of your favorite art or comics. Take this rare opportunity to get free prints and meet local illustrators and artists at Westgate Library. Don's Book Store will be giving away free comic books while supplies last! All ages welcome!

About the Artists:

Glenn “Woody” Woodrome
A local freelance illustrator and a graphic designer. His work includes logo design, painting, comic book illustrations, and custom art for local
business, in the form of cover art and posters. He has collaborated with New Mexico authors on several children’s books, including Juicy John by Santiago Aceves and Mitzi: Tale of a dog by Dennis West. Woody works in a wide range of mediums, including; pencil, ink, watercolor, acrylic, and digital art. He serves as the part-time lead designer for Murder Bunny Apparel, creating designs for print-on-demand products.

Derrick B. Lee
Local illustrator and NM licensed Tattoo Artist. His work includes; a selfpublished comic book M.I.S., album cover for Signal 99, digital fan-art,
murals, business advertisement graphics and custom tattoo designs. He has collaborated with New Mexican artists for Duke City Comic Con 2024. Derrick works with traditional mediums, including pencil, ink, watercolor, acrylic, digital art, woodwork and dermagraphics. He also designs one off art pieces under D.B.ee Original feather Art.

Bill Andres
Bill has been in the comic field for 15 years. His influences range from anime, comic, art and 1800's poster illustrations. He has done covers for
many Indie books. He is self published, his book is Gentleman Ninja. He is also a two time Guinness world record holder. Bill has been part of comic con events in Albuquerque and all over the US showing off his illustration skills.

Andrew Sanchez
Professional artist for 10 years. The 1 non musical artist to be sponsored by Dirtbag Clothing. He has created comic covers for two different independent comics and worked on several professional IP titles for Topps baseball cards, including EFC, MLB, TNMT, Walking Dead and, Star Wars. He created a non profit workshop that helps guide young artists. He has also helped young artists seek exposure
through the badge art program in the past 4 years with Albuquerque Comic Con and Duke City Comic Con. Andrew loves giving back to the community through art and inspiration.


Don’s Book Store
A family-owned book shop located in Albuquerque, New Mexico for over 50 years. Since 2013, Don's Book Store has been on a mission to give books to all kids up to 18 years of age.
