Hand Embroidery for Beginners
Event box
In-Person
Learn about hand embroidery and try it yourself with help from members of the local Turquoise Trail chapter of the Embroiderers’ Guild of America. See examples of modern embroidery pieces. Then, choose from one of three designs to complete your own simple embroidery project using a provided kit for beginners. Learn how to use 3-4 common embroidery stitches and follow a pattern drawn on fabric to create a surface embroidery piece, practicing foundational skills that can be applied to many kinds of embroidery. All materials will be provided, as well as instructions to finish up at home if needed. No previous experience necessary.
Registration required.
Also, be sure to see the Embroiderers’ Guild exhibit in the Cherry Hills display case for the entire month of March!
