Intermediate Printing Workshop

Previous letterpress printing experience is desirable, but not required. In this intermediate workshop, participants will design and print a handbill featuring text and images. Please come to the first session with a 150-character text (including spaces) and a drawing or an idea for an image related to the text. At the first session, participants will carve their image into a linoleum block and set the type for their text. At the second session participants will lay their type and image on the press and print the handbills. Each participant will take home at least two copies of their printed handbill. Participants must commit to attending sessions on both February 27 and 28. Registration required; limited to 4 participants 14 years of age or older.
