Poster-Making Workshop

Event box

In-Person

Washington Press. This workshop is designed for participants who have never printed with a letterpress. Bring a text of not more than 75 characters (spaces included) to set and print, and a drawing or an idea for an image related to the text.  We will print your poster on a mid-nineteenth-century cast iron letterpress, using wooden type. At the first session, participants will carve their image into a linoleum block and set the type for their text.  At the second session participants will lay their type and image on the press and print their posters.  Each participant will make five copies of their poster. Participants must commit to attending sessions on both March 27 and 28. Registration required; limited to 4 participants 14 years of age or older.
