In-Person

Learn more about this special style with Marc Hinkley, an artist, former NYU film student, and self-confessed Noir Nerd. He is also co-host of the Shadows of Noir podcast. Marc will delve into the roots of Noir’s stylistic influences, subject matter, source material, and its place in film history. His love of Film Noir is rooted in its visual style of story telling; creating mood and emotion through the use of lighting, shadows, composition and camera angles.

Stay for a screening of Scarlet Street a 1945 film noir directed by Fritz Lang, which is now in the public domain. Q&A to follow.

Check out the Film Noir exhibit in the Cherry Hills display case during the month of April!
