The New Mexico Suicide Prevention Initiative (NMSPI) was created to confront this crisis head-on and meet the challenge of suicide prevention. This state-funded initiative focuses on providing suicide prevention training to people across the state, equipping them with the ABC skills to recognize the signs of suicide: ask the question, be present by listening, and connect them to the appropriate services.
The training is designed for participants ages 16 and older. Anyone under 16 is welcome to attend, if they’re accompanied by a responsible adult.
