Ernie Pyle Remembrance Day

April 18th 2025 marks the anniversary of Ernie Pyle’s death.
We honor him every year by celebrating Ernie Pyle Remembrance Day as well as National Columnists' Day on this day.
We invite fans of Ernie Pyle to visit us for a brief tour of his former home turned library.
Due to our limited occupancy we can only accommodate 9 people per tour so registration is required.
We will be offering 4 tours throughout the day, you will be asked to select a time when you register.
The Ernie Pyle Library is not ADA accessible because the historic building and grounds include steps, narrow passages, and small spaces. It is a National Historic Landmark and it is on the State, City and National registers of historic places. The closest ADA accessible Libraries include San Pedro Library, South Broadway Library, International District Library and Erna Fergusson Library.
