Official Logo for TED Democracy Live Founding Futures

Libraries strengthen democracy every day.

On June 13th, 2026, Juan Tabo Library will host a livestream of TED Democracy Philadelphia: Founding Futures, bringing some of the new TED talks about democracy's next chapter from the stage in Philadelphia directly to our community. Presented in collaboration with Visit Philadelphia and partner libraries nationwide, and sponsored by the PEW Charitable Trusts, this event connects local conversations to a national moment.

Speakers in this session - "Frictions" are:

Danielle Roberts (Anti-Career Coach), Jeffrey Maurer (Entrepeneur), Katie Paris (Political Rule Breaker), Paul J. Mrstik (Digital Linguist), Shamichael Hallman (Urban Libraries Council), Terry Bouricius (Author and Recovering Politician); Xochitl Gonzalez (Writer, Inequality Expert)

Join us at Juan Tabo Library for a livestream of these talks and possible discussion afterwards. Free event.
