Seeing Your Work Clearly: How to Dramaturg Your Own Writing

Event box

In-Person

Do you ever struggle to pinpoint why something feels “off” in your script? Or find yourself over-correcting based on feedback, only to feel like you’ve lost your original vision? In this Q&A, you’ll have the opportunity to “see” your work more clearly and trust your own voice by analyzing your own work using basic dramaturgical tools and principles.  You’ll learn how you can identify structural issues, track character arcs, and strengthen your writing by making more confident choices about how your story unfolds - without relying on outside opinions.

This Q&A is designed for playwrights, screenwriters and narrative writers who already have a completed work to which they can apply these principles.  But film, television, audiodrama/podcast and theatre artists are also welcome to apply these tools to other projects.
