This walking tour of one of Albuquerque’s city parks will highlight the good, the bad and the ugly when it comes to trees in our desert city.  What species are good choices?  Which ones are not?  How do planting and maintenance affect tree outcomes?  What does a homeowner need to consider when looking at their own trees?  How can we do better by our trees?  Be prepared to walk a bit, and bring your questions!

Join Joran Viers, CABQ Forester, on a walk to and around Heritage Hills Park to learn about trees in Albuquerque.  This includes a walk, 1 mile each way (about 18 minutes), or you may drive and park on Ventura to catch some of the information.  Benches are available along the path and in parts of the park.
