Dianne Layden holds a PH.D. in American Studies from UNM.  Dr. Layden has
done research on public violence for over 20 years, including frontier justice-
her most recent publication is a review of Stephen Singular’s book about the 2009 murder
of Dr. George Tiller and the battle over abortion. Her focus is now New Mexico history and culture.
Join us for her very timely talk, Hate Crimes in the United States and New Mexico.
