High Desert Pipes and Drums is one of New Mexico’s premier teaching and competition bands. HDPD promotes Scottish music throughout NM and the Southwest – striving for authenticity and excellence. HDPD has gained a statewide following and a worldwide reputation that includes becoming the first pipe band from the U.S. to be named Grade IV World Champions in 1999. This program is funded by the Friends for the Public Library.
