Come explore New Mexico history through film with a ¡COLORES! double feature! This is a free event.

Tony Hillerman: The Art Of Mystery - An intimate look into the master mystery writers mind. Hillerman explains his inspirations, triumphs and disasters of writing his famous Jim Chee mystery series set in the Southwest. Scenes from Hillerman's stories are illustrated with striking videography, as we travel the Four Corners area to find the exact location where these events took place.

A Mi Raza: The Writings Of Sabine Ulibarri - A virtuoso performance by Sabine Ulibarri, one of New Mexico's most acclaimed authors. We learn of Ulibarri's upbringing in northern New Mexico and how that influenced his writings. With a deep resonant voice, Ulibarri reads some of his finest poetry and folk tales. He is passionate about his Hispanic heritage - grandmothers smoking cigars and magical horses are a background to his overall concept of democracy and the need of respect between cultures.
