Squirrels are perhaps most well-known for “squirreling-away,” that is, gathering and storing, nuts to eat later. Like all animals, squirrels need food, water, and shelter to survive in a habitat, but we learn through this lesson that the squirrel, our animal neighbor, is especially resourceful.
