Read to the Dog: Honey!
Event box
In-Person
Come to the South Valley Library and read to Honey, our canine volunteer! She will be here from 2:00-3:00 p.m. on the first and fourth Wednesday of the month! Honey is a registered therapy dog who will sit or lay down while the child reads her a story! This program is a great way for children to gain confidence in their reading ability and practice reading aloud without fear of judgment. Reservations are not required, but children will be signed up to read to Honey on a first come, first served basis at the start of each program.
Registered dogs are provided by Alliance of Therapy Dogs (formerly Therapy Dogs, Inc), Southwest Canine Corps of Volunteers, and Warm Hearts Network.
