Come visit the BioPark’s Discovery Station booth anytime between 2:30 and 4::30 p.m. Visitors will meet three different representatives of animals potentially found in their backyards: a snake, a toad, and a praying mantis. They will learn about the roles that these animals play in their ecosystems, some of the threats facing these animals, and what affect that would have on the ecosystem. Finally, they will learn about ways that humans can have a mutually beneficial relationship with these animals by providing a safe home for them in return for the helpful services that they provide us.
