Movies in the Mountains
Frank Cullen, film historian and founder the of the American Vaudeville Museum, hosted a film series at The Guild Cinema for a decade. He now brings his expertise and enthusiasm to the East Mountain Library for a monthly discussion and showing of the most important films in the history of the business. All ages are welcome for the 2022 Comedy Film Festival shown every 3rd Saturday of the month at 12:00 pm. Call the library at 281-8508 to get a required and socially distanced Reservation.
April's Film: Three Musketeers (1938) Don Ameche, Binnie Barnes, The Ritz Brothers, Gloria Stuart, John Carradine Lionel Atwill. A parodic remake of the story of the young Gascon D'Artagnan, who arrives in Paris, his heart set on joining the king's Musketeers. He is taken under the wings of three of the most respected and feared Musketeers, Porthos, Aramis, and Athos. Together they fight to save France and the honor of a lady from the machinations of the powerful Cardinal Richelieu. Directed by Alan Dwan.
