For adult fans of the horror genre, this book club meets on the third Thursday of the month and will cover horror books both contemporary and classic. For information, please give us a call at 505-291-6264.

Our February book will be Interview with the Vampire by Anne Rice (available in eBook, eAudiobook, print, and book on CD) - the first in Rice's "Vampire Chronicles" series, originally published in 1976. Interview with the Vampire was made into the 1994 feature film starring Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, and Kirsten Dunst and remade again as a TV series in 2022.

Born as an 18th-century lord, Louis is now a bicentennial vampire, telling his story to an eager biographer. Suicidal after the death of his family, he meets Lestat, a vampire who persuades him to choose immortality over death and become his companion. Eventually, gentle Louis resolves to leave his violent maker, but Lestat guilts him into staying by turning a young girl -- whose addition to the "family" breeds even more conflict.
