The Public Library and Friends of the Public Library present our annual book to film adaptation event, Books to the Big Screen! 

Matilda Wormwood, an extraordinary girl armed with a sharp mind and a vivid imagination, is forced to put up with her oppressive parents. Worse, Trunchbull, the principal at Matilda's school, is a terrifying bully. When Matilda realizes she has the power of telekinesis, she begins to defend her friends from Trunchbull's wrath and fight back against her unkind parents.
