The film documents the annual motorless seven hundred and fifty-mile race from Port Townsend, Washington, to Ketchikan, Alaska. Vying for a nominal prize of ten thousand dollars, the teams face a grueling course that most sane people wouldn't try. The documentary covers the teams who dare to try, focusing on the individuals that are crazy enough to take up the challenge, from Olympic athletes to high school students and everything in between.
