Monthly Matinee - Strange Lady in Town
Event box
Greer Garson plays a female doctor who plans to introduce modern techniques of medicine to old Santa Fe in 1880, but is opposed by an established doctor. The script finds ways to work in appearances by Billy the Kid and General Lew Wallace. Frontier-era Santa Fe is represented by an elaborate 100-acre set near Tucson. Greer Garson is quoted as saying that Strange Lady in Town "interested me particularly because I've been a carpet actress all my life in Hollywood. I wanted to do an outdoor role, one with horses and sunsets. The result of my love for the life and history of Santa Fe had been put on film, and I am proud of my little part in helping to create it."
Strange Lady in Town has a runtime of 1 hour 52 minutes and is rated TV-PG.
